Notify the City of your Postal Address

Changing ownership and changing name and address details is easy - simply complete the change my contact details form online. Forms are also available from our Customer Service Centre.

Register your Pet

How to transfer your dog or pet registration:

Update the Electoral Roll

You must enrol within four to seven weeks of relocating to your new address. It's important to keep your enrolment up to date to ensure your name is included on the correct roll if an election is called, and to retain your right to vote.

Enrolment forms are available from the Australian Electoral Commission.

Join your Local Library

Membership is free to permanent residents of the city.

Wollongong has seven library branches from Helensburgh in the north to Warrawong in the south. Information on joining a library, opening hours, events and services is available in the library section of this website.

Participate in a Community Activity

Our community directories contain information about services, programs, activities and facilities within the Wollongong region. Subject areas covered include health, welfare, education, sport, hobbies, child care, art and culture. Information is updated regularly.

Attend your Local Neighbourhood Forum

A Neighbourhood Forum is a community group independent from Council which meets to discuss local issues. These groups receive Council support.

Use our Excellent Public Transport System

We encourage all residents and visitors to utilise our comprehensive and convenient public transport network which includes buses and trains.

Understand our City Centre Parking Restrictions

As Wollongong is a growing city, parking restrictions are required to control traffic flow and allow easy and accessible parking.

Signs throughout the city clearly indicate parking restrictions, including time limitations, which must be obeyed. Breaches of parking restrictions are monitored and enforced by our Parking Rangers who can administer on the spot fines.
