Literary Lunch with Lauren Chater

Join The Friends for a literary lunch with Lauren Chater as she discusses The Lace Weaver, a breathtaking debut about love and war, and a battle to save a precious legacy.
1941, Estonia.  Stalin’s brutal army crushes everything in its path. Fiercely partisan, Katartina battles to protect her grandmother’s legacy while in Moscow, Lydia is yearning for freedom and to discover her mother’s Baltic heritage. Katarina, Lydia and two idealistic soldiers find themselves in a fight for life, liberty and love.
Lauren Chater was discovered at bestselling author Fiona McIntosh’s Commercial Fiction Masterclass in 2015, having won a scholarship to attend. She also won the Historical Novel Society Australia’s First Pitch Award in 2015.
