 Literary Lunch with Meg Keneally

The Friends of Wollongong City Library present a Literary Lunch with Meg Keneally. Meg is co-author with father Tom Keneally of the Monsarrat books and Fled, an epic adventure based on the incredible real life story of Mary Bryant, is her first solo novel.

In Fled infamous convict runaway Mary Bryant is reimagined as  Jenny Trelawney. When famine ravages the colony where Jenny is serving her sentence she hatches a daring plan to escape by sea. Many great films have been based on popular books. From those films, the Sydney Orchestra, under the direction of Dr Steve Watson, will present music from their soundtracks.
This concert will build on the first 'Book to Baton' with a program that includes music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Dr Zhivago, West Side Story, Somewhere in Time, Wonder Woman, E.T, The Magnificent Seven, and much more.
