A Literary Lunch with David Dufty

The Friends of Wollongong City Library present A Literary Lunch with David Dufty as he discusses his book The Code-Breakers of Central Bureau. This enthralling work tells the story Australia's incredible code-breaking and signals-intelligence achievements during the Second World War.

This historical account of an intriguing side of war, usually shrouded in secrecy, is deeply human and reveals how Australian men and women built a large and sophisticated intelligence network form scratch and the vital role these code-breakers played in the battles of Midway, Milne Bay, the Coral Sea, Hollania and Leyte.
